The braided bob
Spotted on Instagram, the bob braid is an ideal hairstyle to protect your frizzy hair while displaying an ultra trendy style. And to extend the life of your braids remember to moisturize the scalp well: this will avoid itching and frizz.
The maxi volume ponytail
Whether you have straight or natural hair, a beautiful ponytail will always be a hit. For a maxi volume effect, make it with a ponytail hairpiece that you just have to wrap around your natural hair. Afro hairstyle.
Tip: Use a wax stick to flatten your hair and limit frizz. Graphic effect guaranteed!
The lace wig
Popularized by stars such as Beyoncé or Tyra Banks, the lace wig is on the rise. Indeed, it allows you to display an ultra long and natural dream mane with ease. Choose it voluminous and wavy for an ultra glamorous effect or straight for a modern and graphic look.
This spring, we play it bling like Kerry Washington with graphic bars to attach to the sides of the skull. Choose them colored for a neon style, with pearls for a mermaid look or with rhinestones for a romantic touch. Afro hairstyle.
WEAVING: WHICH LENGTH TO CHOOSE
To find the weave you need, it is important to determine what length you want. Here are some tips to help you choose.
Determine your ideal length
Our weaves range from 10 to 28 inches (26 to 71 cm). So there are plenty of lengths to choose from, ranging from shoulder length (10-12 inches) to low back (24-28 inches). To determine where each strand will fall exactly, you can use a tape measure with the end at the top of your head. Let it fall naturally and write down how far you want your hair to end. Afro hairstyle.
Do the same operation starting from the top of your ear (to know where your hair will fall on the sides) and from the base of your skull (to know where your hair will fall at the back). You can also use wicks of different lengths to create a gradient effect: this will be more practical than cutting your weave.
Tip: Seek advice from a hairdressing professional who will be able to advise you according to your morphology and your needs.
Check the length of the wicks
A wick is measured from the seam to the tip. Note that a weave is measured flat: if you opt for a wavy or curly weave, it will therefore appear shorter (2 to 5 cm less) than a straight weave .
Tip: To obtain the most natural effect possible, choose locks 5 to 10 cm longer than your natural hair (or the same length if you just want to gain volume). Afro hairstyle.
SOME HOLIDAY HAIRSTYLES TO MAKE WITH A WEAVING
Looking for a pretty hairstyle for the holidays? So here are some ideas to shine in the evening.
The samurai bun
Popularized by Rita Ora, the samurai bun is done by lifting the hair into a bun as high as possible. Remember to leave a strand free to wrap it around the base of the bun (working it with gel to accentuate the graphic effect). Afro hairstyle.
Very trendy, long curly hair will be the most beautiful effect for a holiday dinner. To obtain this dream mane, turn to a deep wave or kinky curly weave that you will work with a little styling mousse to accentuate the volume. Afro hairstyle.
The fuzzy bun
The fuzzy chignon is an easy hairstyle to achieve and ideal for parties. For this, tie your hair in a loose ponytail that you will wrap to make a bun. Remember to leave a few loose strands to accentuate the romantic effect.
Tip: Accessorize your bun with a rhinestone barrette, a tiara, a fake flower, etc.
The braided chignon bun
Make flat braids (or African braids) all over your hair. Then lift it up into a high bun that you will secure with pins. Tip: You can also braid only the top half of your hair and pull it up into a half bun.
Festive and colorful, the bandana will be perfect for showcasing long hair. Choose it to match your outfit for a particularly chic effect.
